This project is part of the City of Lancaster's Long Term Control Plan to eliminate stormwater discharges to the combined sewer and minimize combined sewer overflows.  The project will involve the construction of a new storm sewer on Frederick Street between Mt. Pleasant Avenue and Oakwood Avenue.  The City has contracted with the engineering firm Verdantas to design the project, and we are currently in the design phase.  It is anticipated that the project will be publicly bid in February 2026, with construction beginning in the late spring of 2026 and lasting into the late summer or early fall of 2026.  The City expects the project to be financed with a loan through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) program, with the loan being paid back from Stormwater Utility funds.  Please see documents below related to the project.
