This project is part of the City of Lancaster's Long Term Control Plan (LTCP) to eliminate stormwater discharges to the combined sewer and minimize combined sewer overflows. The project will involve the construction of new storm sewers on or along North Columbus Street, Wilson Avenue, and adjacent alleys near Forest Rose Cemetery. The City expects to be in contract with a design engineer by Spring of 2026, publicly bid the project for construction by Winter of 2026-2027, and complete construction by Fall of 2027. The project is expected to be financed with either local Stormwater Utility funds or a loan through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) program (with the loan being paid back from Stormwater Utility funds). Please see documents below related to the project.
