Streets are for everyone, but they don't just carry cars. Streets share the public right of way with utilities, both underground and overhead. And streets sometimes have to accommodate heavy or oversized loads or temporary construction activities. Right of Way management serves to regulate and permit uses and provides a method to protect our streets from damage and ensure that pavement is repaired.
Special Events that will use the streets including parades, block parties, festivals and other events will need to apply for a Permit to Occupy the Public Right of Way.
