A proud resident of Lancaster, Joe Bizjak was elected to City Council in November 2023. Joe previously worked in the Ohio House of Representatives as a Legislative Service Commission Fellow and legislative aide to former state Rep. Steve Arndt of the 89th House District, where the office tackled issues such as senior healthcare, water quality, education, and economic development. Currently, Joe works at the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation with their Board of Directors.
Joe serves in different capacities around the city and county, especially with the Lancaster Housing Council and the Fairfield ADAMH Board.
He earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Kent State University, and a master’s degree in business administration from Franklin University.
Joe is married to a wonderful veterinary technician, where they have taken in cats and dogs. On their spare time, they enjoy traveling and visiting Hocking Hills.
