The City of Lancaster Police Department has an opening for a full-time Dispatcher. This individual will be responsible for taking incoming telephone calls from persons requesting information or wanting Police and/or Fire assistance and determining appropriate action required. Dispatchers must speak English in a clear, effective and authoritative manner. They must be able to speak with, and understand people of varying social, cultural and educational backgrounds. This is a fast paced environment that requires the ability to multi-task.
